Design - Not just pretty pictures We pride ourselves on attention to detail, our innovation and transparency with client and user. We pay great attention to elements that would not be seen in a visualisation: transition radii; heights and lengths of blocks and rails; depths of bowls; edge details etc. These details are critically discussed and are available to the group prior to works taking place. This approach allows our projects to be viewed by the users as the best skate / ride regardless of site size or budget. At the heart of our design philosophy is producing an end result which: realises the user's visions and hopes; exceeds expectations at the concept stage and one that the users, client and community will be proud of for the years ahead. We provide full construction drawings and visualisations with standard practices of administration and issue. Our skatepark and public space designs comply with all relevant standards, including the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). Designing for a proposed site: We ensure that within the early concept stage the proposed site constraints are carefully considered. This allows our designs, and eventually builds, to harmonise with the site, creating a skatepark: that works with and for its domain; has an efficient build and therefore cost-effective build, culminating in a skatepark that maximises the use of space.

Construction - Professional builders

Our construction team are professional builders, with the same team having completed many skatepark construction projects, spanning many years.

Our concrete surface finish is paramount and unparalleled. We believe that we have mastered the ideal surface finish: Smooth, yet not slippery. This finish quality and accuracy allows our skateparks to grip BMX wheels whilst simultaneously allowing skateboard wheels to slide upon request without slipping out unexpectedly.

Our construction techniques and specifications, pioneered by our construction team, add value, quality and premium aesthetics to a project which not only works in synergy with the site and surrounding community, but are also efficient and cost effective builds, maximising the use of available space.

Our professionally run construction sites adhere to all relevant standards. Our Health & Safety policies, risk and method statements, client and relevant authority communications are at the forefront of our site policies. Regular site meetings with client, user and authorities take place in our specific site meeting rooms and are documented to our company procedure standards.

Aftercare - We're still here to help

Our comprehensive guarantee and warranty goes above and beyond the required standards.

CANVAS' skateparks and spaces are designed to be heavy maintenance-free. Our completed project maintenance pack includes information and advice on caring for the skatepark, which after a short induction from our team, allows non-specialist work to be undertaken whenever necessary.

We are regularly involved with the organisation and funding of opening events and comps'. We love to hear about how our parks are thriving and arrange regular scheduled site visits and updates that can take the form of a simple ‘catch up’ to discuss any issues and future developments, or a full annual maintenance visit.
